Muscle Activation
Techniques (MAT)
What is MAT®?
GiGi’s is proud to offer this revolutionary new service which identifies and corrects muscular imbalances in the body. Muscles are re-activated through two techniques: specific tendon palpations and low graded isometric muscle contractions – no machines and no surgery.
This unique system can dramatically improve joint stability, increase range of motion, eliminate pain, and enhance overall function and performance in individuals of all ages. It also integrates well with other forms of clinical therapy such as massage, physical therapy and chiropractic services.
Who can benefit from MAT®?Everyone! If you experience lower back pain, problems with your knees or hips, plantar fasciitis, shoulder pain, etc., MAT® can help you. This technique prepares your body’s ability to absorb shock, increases overall range of motion and improves overall strength and stability.
MAT® is also a great tool for athletes. It helps you recover from injuries quickly but also works to prevent them from occurring. This technique prepares the body to be more efficient in training and athletic performance. Changes can often be immediate, resulting in improved athletic capabilities.
